Experience

May 1, 2017, I vowed to go vegan for a two week trial. After the first 10 days, I felt so much lighter and healthier, I never went back! As a former vegetarian for 8 years, it wasn’t a huge leap, and actually felt like home to me. Still, there was a LOT to learn!

As I learned more about how to be vegan, my eyes were opened to the suffering of animals, the deterioration of our planet’s resources, and the profound spiritual thread that is woven through the process of transformation. This is how a passionate vegan is created.

My decision on that May Day, was motivated by a serious health issue that I was having. I had been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease for which there is no cure. I had been through 2 years of bad diagnoses, surgeries, emergency room visits, hospital stays, multiple medications that were poorly prescribed, and lots and lots of extreme coughing. Since going vegan, my constant coughing was eliminated. I was able to change and reduce medications, and I never had another hospital stay. My disease isn’t disappearing perfectly. I still have flare-ups, and am dependent on my meds, but I still hold out hope. I am on a constant search for solutions to this autoimmune disease problem, which is now a common problem for many people. Through my study, research, and trials, I have found many solutions that have helped improve my health and I love to share that with others who are interested in learning how to make their lives better as well.

I understand that everyone comes with their own reasons and stories for trying out a vegan diet or lifestyle, and we all start with different experience and information. My consultations and workshops will teach you about the many areas of vegan lifestyle, including shopping, meal prep, cooking, clothing, and special diets. While I do not give medical advice, I can give you information, know-how, and resources to reach your goals.
